Spiritual & Personal Formation

About This Course

This course guides students through an integrated process of personal and spiritual formation. Through reflective writing, guided self-assessments, and structured engagement with classical spiritual disciplines, students examine both who they are and who they are becoming. The course relies on a collaborative, discussion-based pedagogy: students prepare thoughtfully for each session and engage in sustained dialogue with peers, building trust and accountability within a shared learning community. Assignments include a discipline-focused journal workbook and a culminating oral presentation, and students move through self-reflection, embodiment, and articulation. By course's end, students will be equipped to speak about their spiritual and personal journeys, develop sustainable formation practices, and discern how that formation informs leadership, service, and life beyond the classroom.
