ASSIGNMENT | REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS
In the StoryArc guide “Food + Rhythm for the Soul,” anti-racism educator Lucretia Berry writes: “Celebrating our cultural identity - acknowledging God’s expressed self through our collective journey - is not only food for our souls, but feeds those who have never experienced the divine expressed in this way.” Practice celebrating one another by commenting on each other's the cultural identity poems you wrote after the last module in the course forum. Take the time to listen, acknowledge, and express gratitude for the unique identities you each inhabit.
Afterwards, read through the four different practices provided by Lucretia Berry to celebrate our cultural identities and reflect.
- Confess and celebrate that which illuminates liberation.
- Confess and celebrate that which binds you to humanity and helps you love people.
- Confess and celebrate that which exemplifies provision.
- Confess and celebrate that which exemplifies a balance of rest and perseverance.
