Think of a social issue or a community that matters to you (this can, of course, be your own work and community!!) and find 1 piece of existing visual art that advocates for justice surrounding this issue. Before you turn to Google, try to think about the art found in your own physical spaces first: perhaps a mural in your town, a piece of art or poster in your church, an illustrated children’s book you have used in religious education, or a protest sign you made—no piece of art is too small, and no homemade art is too “unprofessional.”
