I have just returned home to California, after a month of travel in Europe. During that time, I was asked about our upcoming election here in the U.S. “Who did I think would be elected as President?” I could honestly say “I don’t know.” Not knowing causes me great anxiety. I am fearful for my brothers and sisters who are vulnerable; and I am fearful for the direction our country may take.
I am grateful for this mini course because it has helped me to focus on something other than my fear. I realize that I can focus on the Holy Spirit at work in the hearts and minds of Christians as we ask ourselves, “Who are the strangers, the immigrants, the poor and how can I vote to show God’s love to all people.”
